Trend #1: High Interest Rates Mean People are Staying Put

Interest rates are so high, many homeowners are choosing to stay put, optimizing or expanding their existing square footage.

Some forecasters believe that rates will remain elevated at around 7% for the remainder of this year.

More people are investing in renovations or furnishing projects to transform how their homes look, feel & function.

Trend #2: More Homeowners are Investing in Design Plans

More people than ever are investing in design before starting work. Whether they choose to implement right away or phase out the project, it’s beneficial to have all the design elements selected from the start help.

Trend #3: Technology is Changing the Way We Design Homes

New tools (like AI) are becoming part of the design process. They allow designers to create exciting visuals for clients during the planning phase and they help ensure confidence in the unique home design.

All these trends can be a good thing. In the interior design world, the introduction of text-to-image and text-to-video AI tools in the past couple of years has really taken the industry by storm.
